The KraftPal Story
Redefining Sustainable Logistics Through Innovation
"Every innovation begins with a simple question: What if there is a better way?"
KraftPal was founded on the belief that even the most established industries can be transformed through innovation, engineering, and the courage to challenge conventional thinking.
What began as an ambitious idea to rethink one of the world's oldest logistics products evolved into an internationally recognised technology company, earning global awards for innovation and sustainability while influencing the entrepreneurial philosophy that would later lead to the creation of ZeeQuest Technologies.
Today, KraftPal represents more than a breakthrough in sustainable logistics. It represents the beginning of a broader journey toward building intelligent businesses and collaborative ecosystems capable of creating lasting value.
Why KraftPal Was Founded
Global supply chains depend on one of the most overlooked pieces of industrial infrastructure: the pallet.
For decades, traditional wooden pallets had remained largely unchanged despite increasing pressure on businesses to reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and meet growing environmental expectations.
This presented an opportunity.
The vision behind KraftPal was to challenge conventional assumptions and demonstrate that one of the world's oldest logistics products could be fundamentally redesigned using modern engineering, sustainable materials, and intelligent thinking.
The objective was not simply to replace wooden pallets.
It was to develop a solution that could improve logistics performance, reduce environmental impact, optimise transportation efficiency, and contribute to a more sustainable global supply chain.
This vision became the foundation of KraftPal.
From PalletKraft to KraftPal
The entrepreneurial journey began with PalletKraft, an early-stage venture focused on developing next-generation corrugated pallet technologies.
As the technology matured and international opportunities emerged, it became clear that the company required a stronger global identity capable of supporting worldwide commercialisation and strategic expansion.
In 2016, the business was strategically rebranded as KraftPal Technologies.
The new identity reflected a broader international vision while positioning the company for global partnerships, technology licensing, and international market development.
Under the leadership of founder Gregor Brajović, KraftPal evolved from an innovative industrial concept into an internationally recognised technology company operating at the intersection of sustainability, engineering, and supply chain innovation.
The Technology
KraftPal developed advanced corrugated pallet solutions engineered to address many of the limitations associated with traditional wooden pallets.
The technology focused on delivering meaningful improvements across several key areas:
● Reduced weight to improve transport efficiency.
● Sustainable corrugated fibre construction.
● Lower environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle.
● Improved logistics performance.
● Optimised handling and storage.
● Compatibility with modern automated supply chains.
● Scalable manufacturing for international deployment.
Rather than treating sustainability as a marketing concept, KraftPal approached environmental responsibility as an engineering challenge, demonstrating that performance and sustainability could be achieved simultaneously. Tomaz Velecic, CTO was a driving force behind all and his performance was historical. He literally coped with the most prominent R&D and Innovation centres of Fortune 500 Companies alone.
International Growth
As the technology gained recognition, KraftPal attracted increasing attention from customers, strategic partners, investors, and industry organisations across international markets.
Commercial initiatives expanded throughout Europe while opportunities also emerged in North America and other regions, demonstrating the global relevance of sustainable logistics innovation.
Building an international technology company required far more than product development.
It demanded expertise in intellectual property, manufacturing, regulatory environments, strategic partnerships, international commercialisation, capital formation, and long-term execution.
These experiences provided invaluable lessons that would later shape the creation of ZeeQuest Technologies.
Recognition and Industry Awards
KraftPal's innovative approach to sustainable logistics received recognition from respected international organisations and industry bodies.
Among its achievements were international awards recognising excellence in innovation, sustainability, and packaging technology, including recognition through the World Packaging Organisation and the global corrugated packaging industry.
These awards represented more than individual achievements.
They demonstrated that disruptive innovation could successfully transform even mature industrial sectors when supported by strong engineering, long-term vision, and disciplined execution.
International media coverage further strengthened KraftPal's reputation, highlighting the company's contribution to sustainable logistics and advanced packaging technologies.
More Than a Company
While KraftPal achieved important technological and commercial milestones, its greatest impact extended beyond products and manufacturing. Carrying all on the shoulders of a few (Tomaz Velecic, Igor Angelovski, Gregor Brajovic and Miha Homar), it was time for a shift in how to approach business.
The experience fundamentally changed the way founder Gregor Brajović viewed entrepreneurship.
Building KraftPal demonstrated that successful innovation depends on much more than creating a superior product.
It requires the integration of technology, intellectual property, leadership, strategic partnerships, investment, manufacturing, commercial execution, and trust.
Innovation succeeds when these elements work together as an interconnected system.
This realization marked the beginning of a new way of thinking.
From Products to Ecosystems
Throughout the international expansion of KraftPal, a broader pattern became increasingly evident.
The world's most successful organisations were no longer defined by a single product or technology.
They created platforms.
Communities.
Infrastructure.
Networks.
Ecosystems.
This insight transformed the entrepreneurial vision behind future ventures.
Rather than building individual companies, the objective became creating an ecosystem capable of continuously identifying opportunities, developing proprietary technologies, attracting strategic capital, and supporting innovation across multiple industries.
That philosophy ultimately led to the creation of ZeeQuest Technologies.
The KraftPal Legacy
Today, KraftPal represents an important chapter in a much larger entrepreneurial journey.
Its contribution extends beyond sustainable pallets and logistics innovation.
It demonstrated that traditional industries can be transformed through visionary thinking.
It proved that sustainability and commercial performance can reinforce one another.
Most importantly, it provided the practical experience that shaped the philosophy behind ZeeQuest Technologies and the concept of the Ecosystem Economy.
Every venture created since has been influenced by lessons first learned while building KraftPal.
The story of KraftPal is therefore not only the story of an innovative technology company.
It is the story of where a broader vision for intelligent ecosystems began.
